DSM organized "Maldives Dive for Diabetes" where 300 divers formed a human blue circle in Emboodhoo Lagoon, symbolizing global unity in diabetes awareness.

2012 – Nationwide Campaign: “Steps for Diabetes”

Steps for Diabetes

An extensive nationwide campaign from 20 October to 17 November 2012 covering all inhabited islands. A total of 28,200 participants took part over one month, collectively achieving over 18 billion steps to raise awareness on diabetes.

2011 – “Walk with Friends” Walkathon

Walk with Friends

DSM organized a 12-hour walkathon from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Malé. The event recorded 1,500 participants in Malé, while 20,500 people from 180 islands participated in parallel community walks. This initiative was recognized internationally with the Global Walk Award.

2010 – Blue Circle Formation at Kuda Bandos

To commemorate World Diabetes Day 2010, a special event was held at Kuda Bandos, where 800 participants gathered to form the iconic blue circle, the global symbol of diabetes awareness.

2007 – Global Diabetes Walk: “Diabetes Walk”

Global Diabetes Walk

DSM organized the "Diabetes Walk" as part of the Global Diabetes Walk initiative. The event achieved nationwide participation, with approximately 50,000 participants joining from every inhabited island across the Maldives, making it one of the largest coordinated diabetes awareness activities in the country.
