Key achievements

National Award (2009)

National Award for outstanding services in health awareness, presented by the President of Maldives on Republic Day

Dr. LEE Jong-Wook Memorial Prize (2013)

WHO award for creating public awareness, promoting NCD prevention, and training local staff in counseling and treatment

Presidential Medal (2013)

Medal received from the President honoring the extraordinary achievements of DSM

Most Outstanding NGO Award (2014)

Award given by Ministry of Health on World Health Day for outstanding public health service to the community

IDF South East Asia Leadership (2018-2019)

Dr. Ali Siyan, Programme Coordinator, served as Chair of IDF South East Asia Region

Honorary Fellowship (2026)

Ms Aishath Shiruhana, CEO, received honorary fellowship from Diabetes India for her contribution to the society
